Services · Custom software

Software that fits the way you work.

When your team does half the job around a tool, in side spreadsheets and chat threads, software shaped to your process may be worth building. We build it, and we tell you when a smaller change would do.

Signs you have outgrown the tool

The work happens around the software.

Every morning

WhatsApp to accounts to dispatch

An order arrives as a chat message. Someone keys it into the accounting package, then again into the dispatch sheet. Two copies, two chances to get a quantity wrong.

Month end

Reports stitched by hand

The numbers exist, spread over four places. Someone spends days merging exports, and nobody trusts the total until they have checked it themselves.

Customer call

Where's my order?

Answering a simple status question means checking a sheet, a chat group and a colleague's memory, while the customer waits on hold.

Holiday cover

Rules that live in one head

Which customer gets extended credit, which supplier needs a different form. When the one person who knows is away, work stalls.

Before we recommend building.

Custom software costs more up front and needs looking after. We check these first.

01

Could your current tool do it?

Many products have settings, add-ons or automations nobody has switched on. If configuration solves the problem, we will say so.

02

Is the process settled?

Software fixes rules in place. If the process changes every month, we may help you map and agree it before encoding it.

03

Does the gain repeat?

A task done once a quarter rarely justifies a build. One done many times a day by several people often does.

04

Who decides how it changes?

Someone on your side needs to own the business rules over time. We can run the software; the rules remain yours.

From messy process to working system.

01

Follow one awkward transaction

We trace a single transaction through your team: every detail entered, every person who checks it, every place it gets copied. The exceptions matter as much as the normal case.

02

Connect the records

Customers, orders, units and documents each live in one place and link to one another, so a change made once shows wherever it is needed.

03

Set access and traceability

Each role sees and edits only what it should, and important changes record who made them and when. See roles and permissions and audit trails.

04

Build, migrate, switch over

We build in milestones you review, carry your existing data across, and run the changeover with your staff so the old sheets can finally be retired.

Yours to keep.

The code, the database and the accounts the software runs on belong to your business. We set up hosting, domains and third-party services in your name, and any licence or usage charges from those services sit between you and the provider.

If you later want your own developers to take over, we write the documentation and plan the handover with them. Until then, we can host, maintain and keep developing the software under an agreed arrangement.

Can it connect to the systems we already run?

Usually, if those systems offer suitable access through an API, webhooks or reliable exports. We review the integration options during discovery, before the scope is fixed, so a missing connection doesn't surface halfway through the build.

Do we have to replace everything at once?

No. Many projects start with the one process causing the most rework and leave the rest of your tools in place. The new software connects to them, and further pieces can follow once the first one is earning its keep.

What does it cost to run after launch?

Hosting and any third-party services are billed by their providers, in your name. Our ongoing work, if you want it, is agreed as a separate arrangement covering support, updates and new features.
